AVUS100

AVUS100 is a cultural and historical project dedicated to celebrating the legacy of Berlin’s Automobil-Verkehrs- und Übungsstraße (AVUS), a landmark route that opened in 1921 as the world’s first road built exclusively for motor vehicles. The initiative marked the track’s centenary in 2021 with events and publications that explored its role in motorsport and Berlin’s history. Its program included a public celebration in the historic North Curve, featuring classic cars, racing vehicles from seven decades, and appearances by former drivers, alongside a special exhibition at the PS.

AVUS100 also introduced the illustrated book Ein rasantes Jahrhundert, bringing together 100 stories, more than 400 images, and accounts of the people, vehicles, and events associated with the route. The project’s offerings include sustainably produced, GOTS-certified clothing, such as shirts and hoodies, made and printed by hand in Berlin.

Through exhibitions, storytelling, merchandise, and commemorative events, AVUS100 presents the AVUS as both a motorsport legend and a lasting part of Germany’s cultural and mobility history
