About City of Lancaster
AV Work Local is a City of Lancaster program created to connect local residents with employment opportunities and help employers reach prospective workers. Developed in response to community needs around access to jobs, the initiative provides resources for both job seekers and employers, supporting Lancaster as a place to live, work, and play.
Job seekers can explore career paths across a broad range of fields, including administration, aerospace, construction, education, healthcare, law enforcement, manufacturing, the public sector, and transportation, as well as other areas. The site also offers a calendar and additional resources to support career exploration and job searching.
Employers can use the platform to get started, manage an account, post job listings, and promote events. AV Work Local also shares news and event updates through its mailing list and social media channels. The program is based at Lancaster City Hall and is supported by the City of Lancaster, which presents it as part of its efforts to encourage job creation and improve access to local employment resources.
