About AWAK
AWAK, the Association of Women Accountants of Kenya, is a non-political and non-profit organization that aims to empower and support professional women accountants. Established in 1994, AWAK is registered under the Societies Act and has a strong commitment to member empowerment and contributing to societal needs. Working closely with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and Kenya Accountants & Secretaries National Examination Board (KASNEB), AWAK encourages qualified women accountants to join ICPAK to enhance their networking opportunities and career development.
Additionally, AWAK motivates those who have attained part 2 qualifications to complete the course, enabling them to fully enjoy the benefits of being a qualified accountant. With a vision of creating globally impactful women accountants, AWAK's mission is to power the success of women in accounting by providing relevant knowledge, resources, and networks to meet the demands of a changing world.
