AWARE North Texas is a community-focused nonprofit dedicated to supporting people affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. Founded by and for North Texans, the organization invests in local programs and research to provide practical help today while advancing hope for future treatments and a cure. Its grants support nonprofits, care partners, researchers and service providers working to improve care and understanding across the region.
Over more than 36 years, AWARE has invested over $15 million in North Texas providers and researchers, with funding directed entirely to the local community. The programs it supports reach more than 27,000 people annually. AWARE also brings people together through Friends of AWARE, a volunteer-powered community offering connection, trusted information and opportunities to advocate for better dementia solutions. Patients, caregivers, friends and professionals are welcome to participate.
The organization shares news, hosts events and invites community members to donate, volunteer, join its network or apply for a grant. Through local investment and collective support, AWARE works to ensure no one faces dementia alone.
