Awasis Agency Employment Opportunities

Awasis Agency of Northern Manitoba is an agency that has been mandated with the legal responsibility to provide child and family services to treaty and non-treaty members residing on 25 First Nations. However, the agency has recently decentralized and now offers its services to 11 First Nations communities. In addition, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed in 2000, allowing the agency to expand its authority and provide services to off-reserve members, which began in 2005.

The vision of Awasis Agency of Northern Manitoba is to create healthy communities and promote the well-being of First Nations children and families. They strive to achieve this through their wide range of services, which include prevention services, promotional services, and protection services. With a dedicated board of directors and an executive director at the helm, Awasis Agency of Northern Manitoba is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of children and families.

They provide valuable resources and support for child and adolescent development, including links to children's hospitals. For those interested in employment and training opportunities, the agency also offers options in this area. Overall, Awasis Agency of Northern Manitoba is focused on building healthy communities and ensuring the welfare of First Nations children and families
