Awas Kaki is a foundation dedicated to supporting underprivileged people in Indonesia. Active since 2010, the organization grew from two years of pioneering work by its initiators, Ronald and Barbara Lepez, who established a football club and developed relationships that led to a range of community projects. Its vision is to facilitate opportunities for people in need through football, education, and other initiatives, while its mission includes educating young people with leadership potential.
Awas Kaki’s football activities have included clubs, courses, clinics, trips, and camps. Its education work includes training and a study fund, alongside other projects intended to support local communities. The foundation is managed by a five-member volunteer board based in the Netherlands, with each member connected to the organization in a different way. Awas Kaki invites people to support its work through donations or by becoming a friend of the foundation. Its guiding belief is that while a trainer can change a game, a coach can change a life.
