AWO Region Gießen e. V. is a social services organization serving people across different stages of life in the Gießen region. Guided by its vision, “We shape living spaces with heart and respect,” it combines professional support with voluntary engagement and aims to accompany people with care and quality.

For older adults, the organization offers residential care homes, day centers, support at home, ambulatory care, meals on wheels, senior housing, advice, and community activities. Its children’s services include childcare for children from age one until they start school, through kindergartens, family centers, childminding groups, and children’s groups. AWO Region Gießen also supports people experiencing homelessness, seeking housing, or living with complex, long-term dependencies through its housing and work support network.
