AWO Kreisverband Mittelfranken-Süd e.V.

AWO Mittelfranken-Süd is a nonprofit welfare organization serving Schwabach, including Katzwang, the districts of Roth and Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen, and parts of Ansbach and Fürth. Through its facilities and services, the organization supports people across all stages of life, from early childhood and school-age care to older age. Its work includes childcare, school care, outpatient and residential nursing, support for people with mental health or addiction challenges, counseling, integration services, and assistance for people with disabilities. A network of 20 local associations and more than 4,100 members also contributes to its community engagement.

AWO Works is the organization’s careers platform, sharing job vacancies, apprenticeships, and voluntary service placements through the FSJ and BFD programs. It introduces prospective applicants to career paths and employees’ experiences, and welcomes career changers. Roles span areas such as education, care, inclusion support, counseling, and administration. The platform also highlights the employer’s efforts to support work-life balance and improve working conditions and employment terms.
