Work of Heart Therapy

A Work of Heart Therapy & Consulting, PLLC is a mental health practice based in San Antonio, Texas, focused on healing individuals, developing clinicians, and strengthening communities. Founded in response to the lack of care in which people of color feel seen and understood, the practice describes its approach as culturally responsive, transformative, and grounded in genuine connection. Its services include individual, couples, family, and group therapy, along with clinical supervision and consultation.

Therapy is offered virtually to clients in Texas, Colorado, Wyoming, Virginia, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Florida, and New Jersey, with new inquiries accepted to assess availability and fit. The practice also provides professional education and the Work of Heart Hub, an online resource featuring free educational articles, clinician tools, and community updates. Its stated goal is to offer more than symptom management: a space where people can bring their experiences without feeling they must explain, minimize, or defend them
