The AXA Foundation for Human Progress brings together the philanthropic commitments of AXA Group and AXA Mutuelles d’Assurances. With an annual budget of €60 million, it supports high-impact initiatives designed to strengthen social cohesion and help build more inclusive, fair and resilient societies. Its work spans four areas: Science, Nature, Solidarity, Inclusion and Education, and Arts, Culture and Heritage.

The Foundation funds research that can improve quality of life and inform societal action, including transdisciplinary initiatives such as the AXA Chairs. It supports efforts to protect ecosystems and biodiversity, advance inclusion and education, and assist vulnerable communities. In culture, it helps preserve heritage, traditional skills and collective memory while supporting future creativity.

Working with partners from academic, institutional, associative and cultural sectors, the Foundation promotes collaboration across disciplines to address interconnected social and environmental challenges. Its activities include funding research and projects, developing partnerships, and inviting organizations to respond to calls for projects.
