Forward Email is an open-source, privacy-focused email service that helps individuals, teams, and organizations use professional email addresses with their own domains. Its free plan provides email forwarding for unlimited domains, with spam protection, catch-all addresses, multiple recipients per alias, webhook delivery, and regular-expression filtering. Paid plans add the ability to send and receive email using custom-domain addresses, unlimited aliases, pooled storage, secure mailboxes, outbound SMTP, email analytics, DMARC reporting, and developer API access.

The service also offers email archiving and downloads, encryption and message signing, PGP forwarding, spam and phishing protection, and support for calendars and contacts. Users can connect through popular email clients on Apple, Windows, Android, Linux, and Chrome, or use webmail and developer tools. Forward Email highlights encrypted communications, a zero-knowledge architecture, and control over mailbox backups and deletion.

Its resources include setup guides, technical documentation, API references, and self-hosting options. The service states that more than 500,000 users rely on it and offers additional storage for a monthly fee
