Axis Jiu-Jitsu Academy

Axis Jiu Jitsu Academy Sunshine Coast is a martial arts academy in Warana, Queensland, offering Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training for adults and teens in a friendly, supportive environment. Formerly known as Forge Martial Arts, the academy was founded by Chris and Nate, who began their journey in 2018 and later joined the Axis Jiu-Jitsu affiliation under Professor Jason Roebig.

The adults’ Gracie Jiu Jitsu program focuses on martial art and practical self-defence, including standing defence, clinching, taking an opponent to the ground and returning to a standing position. Some teens may attend adult classes with a parent or guardian, or with coach approval. The academy also offers one-to-one private training, open mats for newcomers and experienced practitioners, and access to Judo sessions run in partnership with the Maroochydore Judo team. Members can use an infrared sauna and cold plunge during opening hours. Classes include weekday morning and evening sessions, with additional open mats on Fridays and Saturdays. New students can arrange a free one-week trial.
