About AYA Cancer Network
The AYA Cancer Network Aotearoa, established in 2013, is a membership organization dedicated to improving cancer services for young people. As a strategic leader in AYA cancer in New Zealand, the Network provides direction, clinical expertise, and monitoring. Acting on behalf of Te Aho o Te Kahu (The Cancer Control Agency), the Network collaborates with a wide range of healthcare professionals and support providers from various disciplines and organizations, including medical, nursing, allied health, and NGOs.
With a focus on innovation and improving outcomes, the Network aims to explore new approaches to delivering care to young people diagnosed with cancer. Centered around the needs of young people and their families, the Network actively involves them in shaping policies and contributing to decision-making processes.
