About AYP
The Hong Kong Award for Young People (AYP), formerly known as the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, was established in 1961 and is a member of the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Association. The AYP offers a comprehensive international recognition system that allows young people aged 14 to 24 to cultivate a spirit of challenge and perseverance by earning medals. With over 60 years of history, the AYP continues to provide diversified services to equip young people to face various challenges.
The organization aims to foster holistic development in young individuals. Through leisure activities and volunteer services, participants continually challenge themselves and gain a deeper understanding of their own potential. The AYP strives to witness young people not only achieve tangible accomplishments but also experience personal growth and become positive contributors to society.
The AYP journey is supported by dedicated staff members, branches, and volunteers who help guide participants through different stages of development. Together, they provide alternative learning opportunities and encourage young individuals to set personal and team goals, enabling them to realize their potential and understand their role in society
