''Working towards the Harmonisation of Local Action and Policy Implementation, from local to regional level.'' The African Youth Parliament for Water (AYPW) is a youth-led, gender balanced, non-profit organization focused on water and sanitation development, climate change, and youth unemployment. Founded in the year 2022, we are dedicated to promote collaboration between local governments and our youth parliaments to review youth policies in line with our 3 objectives: 1. Local youth action is recognised and implemented in all water spheres. 2. Job opportunities are improved and diversified. 3. Youth-inclusion in decision-making is the norm, not the exception. Currently, in collaboration with Wavemakers United, we have launched the SDG Tracker. The SDGs Tracker Initiaive is all about building a real-time platform that gives a clear, data-driven look at how SDGs are being implemented across five regions in Africa: North, West, Central, East, and Southern Africa. This tool will spotlight organizations that are doing well, show where the gaps are, and help stakeholders figure out where to focus their investments and resources to make the biggest impact.

About African Youth Parliament for Water
The African Youth Parliament for Water is a youth-led, gender-balanced non-profit organization that focuses on water and sanitation development, climate change, and youth unemployment. Our mission is to facilitate exchanges between local youth parliaments and their respective local governments, fostering official collaboration on the review, implementation, and monitoring of youth policies and water-related policies. We partner with various local and international organizations to lead sustainable development events and campaigns across Africa.
Our network consists of national-level representatives who implement our objectives within their countries, sub-regional representatives who summarize and record results from their regions, and regional-level representatives who organize our internal structure and work with partners on an international and continental level. Our goal is for youth parliaments to be officially recognized and integrated into local governments, ensuring that they play a pivotal role in the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of youth policies. By understanding the status of policies and successful implementations, we can effectively assess the value of local action projects.
Join the African Youth Parliament for Water as we work towards creating a better future for our continent through youth-led initiatives and collaboration with local governments
