The Arizona Citizens Defense League (AzCDL) is an all-volunteer, nonpartisan, nonprofit grassroots organization dedicated to protecting the rights of law-abiding gun owners in Arizona. Founded by local activists, it works to advance the principles of individual rights and self-defense reflected in the Arizona Constitution. AzCDL engages with the state legislature to oppose bills it considers harmful, support pro-rights legislation, track bills and voting records, and help members take action.

It also works to defend firearms laws in court, including through partnerships with organizations such as the Second Amendment Foundation and the Goldwater Institute. Through its political action committee, AzCDL supports candidates who share its mission. The organization offers memberships, volunteer opportunities, member discounts, newsletters, email alerts, educational resources, and events, including an annual meeting and gun-show outreach.

Its website also provides an online store and information about legal protection plans available through partner providers. AzCDL says it is self-funded and independent of national organizations and political parties, relying on member contributions and donations to support its work
