About AzerothCore
AzerothCore is an open-source project that develops a modular MMORPG server application. Built on foundations from MaNGOS, TrinityCore, and SunwellCore, it draws on years of development while continuing to improve through community contributions and ongoing maintenance. Released under the GNU GPLv2 license, AzerothCore supports software freedom and invites developers to inspect, use, and contribute to its code.
The project emphasizes stability, reliable performance, and authentic game content. Changes are checked through continuous integration before they are merged into the master branch, and contributions are held to standards intended to maintain quality. AzerothCore is described as production-ready and is used by players in live environments worldwide.
Its modular design lets developers extend or customize the game, add features and content, and create distinctive gameplay experiences. The project also provides installation guidance, documentation, a wiki, API references, and resources for the Eluna engine. Developers and users can connect through community forums, Discord, and other channels to exchange knowledge, seek support, and contribute to the project.
