Azgard Solar Inc. With a history dating back to 1981, Azgard Corporation, under the name of Cyntech Resource Services Ltd, initially provided steam stimulation services in northern Alberta's heavy oil fields. However, due to changing market dynamics, the company shifted its focus to new areas such as the design and manufacture of pipeline anchors, helical piles, and the construction and repair of large aboveground storage tanks.

In 2010, Azgard Corporation redirected its efforts towards solar energy projects and became Azgard Solar Inc. Since then, they have designed and built numerous solar projects, including 100 small 10kW ground mount solar projects in northwestern Ontario. Notable achievements include a 54kW solar system for NWT Power in a remote community in the Northwest Territories and the 1MW Black Bay Solar Project near Red Rock, Ontario.
