Azrieli Foundation

The Azrieli Foundation Israel is a philanthropic organization dedicated to strengthening Israeli society through support for education, medical and scientific research, social welfare, people with disabilities, arts, culture, and music. Continuing a longstanding tradition of giving by David Azrieli and his family, the Foundation provides grants to nonprofit organizations and institutions working in its areas of focus.

Alongside its grantmaking, the Foundation operates programs designed to advance opportunity and development. Its Sports for Social Impact initiative uses sport and physical activity to support personal empowerment, improve quality of life, promote equal opportunities, reduce barriers for marginalized groups, and encourage dialogue and partnership across Israeli society. The Azrieli Fellows Program fosters academic excellence and leadership, combining scholarships with activities, opportunities, and resources for graduate students, researchers, and postdoctoral fellows in Israel. The Foundation also runs the Azrieli Institute for Educational Empowerment and offers the David Azrieli Prize for student architecture projects. Through funding and these initiatives, it supports education, research, inclusion, and cultural life across the country.
