Babel Jam is a multilingual improvisational theatre festival held in Albi, France. Organized by the Babel Jam Association, the festival celebrates linguistic and cultural diversity through live performance, learning, and shared creative experiences. Its 2026 edition is scheduled for September 24–27 and presents the city as a space for encounter, participation, and inclusion.

The festival program includes three shows and more than 20 workshops, with activities for over six languages and formats. Participants can explore improvisation in French, English, Spanish, Moroccan Arabic, and Occitan, as well as nonverbal, physical improvisation. Workshops and performances introduce improvisational theatre, an unscripted art form in which performers create scenes spontaneously, while encouraging creativity, active listening, confidence, stress management, and teamwork.

Babel Jam also features artists and trainers, shares practical information for visitors, and welcomes organizations interested in becoming partners. Through its program and community-focused approach, the festival offers audiences and participants opportunities to play, share, and create across languages and cultures.
