Babinda Harvest Festival is a long-running community celebration held in the town centre of Babinda, Queensland, showcasing the region, its people and its agricultural heritage. First centred on the sugar industry, the festival later adopted a different theme each year, inspiring creative displays and lively parade entries. Its program brings together residents and visitors for a day of entertainment and activities for all ages.
Highlights include the NQ Tractor Pull and Garden Tractors, a grand street parade with floats and vintage cars, live performances, children’s rides and activities, a Giant Lolly Drop and a fireworks display. The festival also features food and market stalls, offering local traders a way to share their products with the community. Visitors can purchase general admission tickets, with free entry for children under 18, and separate tickets are available for children’s rides.
The festival welcomes people to participate as stallholders, parade entrants or volunteers. Its Royalty Quest offers a chance to represent the community at festival events and celebrate Babinda’s heritage.
