Baby Steps OT

Baby Steps OT provides in-home occupational therapy and lactation support for infants and their families. Serving Ventura, Ojai, Santa Barbara, Camarillo, Carpinteria, greater Ventura County, and the greater Los Angeles area, the practice offers care in the familiar setting where babies feed, play, and grow.

Its approach considers how feeding skills, oral motor development, movement, and sensory regulation work together. Services include infant occupational therapy for feeding, developmental milestones, sensory-motor skills, and regulation; lactation counseling for breastfeeding challenges, painful latch, milk transfer concerns, bottle feeding, and transitions; and specialized oral motor assessment and treatment. Support is also available for families preparing for or recovering from oral tie releases.

Each visit is individualized and collaborative, with care tailored to a family’s goals. Parent education is an important part of the service, giving caregivers practical tools and knowledge to support their baby’s development between sessions. Baby Steps OT aims to help families address feeding and developmental concerns while building confidence and nurturing connection with their infants.
