BAC Antwerpen

BAC Antwerpen, the Belgian Alpine Club Antwerp, is a mountaineering and climbing club affiliated with the Flemish Climbing and Mountaineering Federation (KBF). It welcomes people from beginners to experienced mountain sports enthusiasts, with a focus on helping members explore the mountains safely, independently and confidently. The club combines practical training with theory across a wide range of activities, including mountain hiking, indoor and outdoor climbing, mountaineering, via ferrata, ice climbing, snowshoeing and ski touring.

BAC Antwerpen also runs guided trips and training stages for different disciplines and experience levels. Many take place abroad, and the club organises more than 30 mountain stages and courses each year. Qualified instructors share their expertise along the way, while advanced participants can refine their techniques and gain further experience through more demanding alpine activities where conditions allow. Members can also join climbing gatherings and day hikes, learn to manage rock-climbing routes through the club’s rebolting team, and take part in other club activities.
