Backcountry Brewing is an owner-operated craft brewery located in Squamish, BC. With a team-oriented and distinctly adventurous approach, they have successfully built a production brewery that also offers a unique tasting room experience with food as a major component. The brewery was founded in 2015 when a group of owner-operators came together after a Christmas party and realized they had the necessary skills and passion to open a brewery.

Since opening in 2017, Backcountry Brewing has become a prominent player in BC's craft beer scene. They have received accolades at the BC Beer Awards, including Rookie of the year and medals for their core beers. In 2022, the brewery plans to release over 90 different limited-release beers, in addition to their popular year-round beers like Widowmaker IPA, Trailbreaker Pale Ale, and Ridgerunner Pilsner.

In addition to their wide selection of beers, Backcountry Brewing features a retail store with an extensive can collection and branded merchandise. The tasting room, inspired by 70’s ski cabins, offers a menu of creative pizzas, salads, and snacks crafted by red seal chef Jules Laporte. The recent expansion includes The Barrel Lounge, a cozy seating area, and a much-anticipated patio set to open in spring 2023.
