Back Creek Friends Church is the oldest Friends Meeting in Grant County, Indiana, and has been serving the community since 1831. Originally settled by members of the Religious Society of Friends, also known as Quakers, who migrated from the Carolinas, the Meeting is steeped in history and tradition. The church offers a variety of services and activities for its members and the community.

Sunday School is held at 9:30 am, followed by a time of prayer at 10:15 am, and worship at 10:30 am. The pastoral team, Jon Clark and Joel Clark, lead the congregation in their spiritual journey. Education has always been important to the Quaker settlers, and Back Creek has a rich history of promoting learning.

The church built a two-story brick school in 1874 and helped establish the Fairmount Friends Academy in 1883. The present meetinghouse, constructed in 1899, features an annex containing a pastor's study/library, classrooms, fellowship hall, and restrooms, providing a welcoming space for members and visitors.
