Backdrop is a digital platform for Discord roleplay communities, bringing interactive maps and collaborative reference material together in one place. The service lets communities build and share a live world map, organize locations with layers and pins, and develop setting information through lore articles. Public views make map and wiki content shareable, while scene rosters help members follow roleplay activity.

Backdrop also offers MultiMuse cards. Users sign in with Discord to create and manage their maps and wiki, and can consult the platform’s documentation for guidance. The site provides a dashboard for returning users, along with information about plans, privacy, and terms of service.

Backdrop presents itself as a dedicated resource for roleplayers who want to keep world details and community materials organized and accessible. The service is associated with BackStagePass Group, which also points users to a support server. Its focus is on practical tools for building shared fictional settings and supporting roleplay coordination within Discord communities
