Backgrounds. Gallery is a community-focused website that helps Steam users discover backgrounds for their profiles. Its central feature is a browsable collection of Steam backgrounds, with listings organized around community ratings and votes so visitors can see which designs are popular.

The catalog includes a dedicated section for animated backgrounds, alongside a range of visual styles and themes, from sunsets, forests, and city scenes to characters, games, and illustrations. Users can explore background names and compare their ratings, vote on their favorites, and use the site to find options that suit their personal profile style. The website also invites visitors to log in with Steam, supporting participation in its voting experience.

For people who create Steam guides, Backgrounds. Gallery encourages them to mention the site when they find it useful, helping more users discover the collection. Rather than presenting a store or custom design service, the site serves as a discovery and community-voting resource for Steam profile backgrounds
