The Backnanger Straßenfest, celebrated annually in the heart of Backnang, is Germany's oldest and largest street festival, drawing thousands from June 27 to June 30, 2025. This vibrant event transforms the historical streets into a lively festival hub, showcasing a rich tapestry of local and international culture. Visitors can indulge in culinary delights that reflect the region's flavors and those of its partner cities.
The program features an extensive array of performances across six stages, offering everything from traditional brass music and contemporary pop to rock and electronic tunes. One highlight is the Backnanger Nachwuchsfestival, established in 1971, which gives young talents a platform to shine in front of an enthusiastic audience, complete with opportunities for professional coaching and prizes.
Moreover, the festival includes diverse activities such as dance performances, a children's area, an ecumenical service, and a special afternoon for seniors. With generous sponsorship backing, the 53rd Backnanger Straßenfest promises an unforgettable celebration of tradition and modernity.
