About Back On Track Belgium
Back On Track Belgium is the Belgian branch of the European collective, Back on Track. They are dedicated to improving cross-border train travel and advocating for the revival of overnight train services. With a mission to promote sustainable and comfortable transportation, their vision aligns with the pressing need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions caused by air travel.
They aim to reintroduce the Paris-Brussels-Berlin train route, which not only connects major European capitals but also offers a low-emission, relaxing, and convenient travel experience. In response to the economic challenges posed by the pandemic, Back On Track Belgium and their French counterparts, "Oui Au Train De Nuit," have launched the #SavePeopleNotPlanes petition, advocating for fair support to sustainable sectors like long-distance trains. Joining hands with various partner organizations in Belgium and Europe, Back On Track Belgium actively engages in campaigns, actions, and lobbying efforts to create a greener and more interconnected railway network.
