Backyard Visitors

Backyard Visitors is an educational website for people interested in nature and backyard wildlife. Created by nature enthusiast Elizabeth Donaldson, it shares discoveries and practical information for both experienced outdoor advocates and people who are just beginning to explore the natural world. The site focuses on hummingbirds, backyard chickens, and bees, helping readers find answers to common questions and learn more about these animals and their roles in the environment.

Its hummingbird content covers topics such as where hummingbirds are found, their migration by state, and questions about their behavior and impact. The site also explores how hummingbirds contribute to pollination and ecological sustainability. Articles about backyard chickens discuss keeping them in urban settings and potential benefits including pest control, composting, and fresh eggs. Bee-related content explains their importance to pollination and plant growth, as well as uses beyond honey production.

Through these topic guides and educational articles, Backyard Visitors offers an accessible resource for learning about wildlife, pollinators, and sustainable backyard practices.
