Badgerland Reptile Rescue

Badgerland Reptile Rescue is a foster-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2021 and headquartered in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The organization works to find homes for unwanted reptiles and amphibians while promoting proper husbandry and responsible care of exotic animals. Rather than operating a public facility with viewing hours, it arranges adoptions and surrenders by appointment.

Its services include reptile and amphibian adoptions, surrender support, educational resources, and volunteer and foster opportunities. Prospective adopters can review available animals, adoption fees, applications, and agreements, while people considering a surrender can learn about the process and submit a form. The organization also shares care guides, educational handouts, a directory of ordinances, recommended veterinary clinics and pet stores, and species-specific shopping guidance for animals such as ball pythons, bearded dragons, and leopard geckos.

Badgerland Reptile Rescue supports its work through donations, a wish list, merchandise, and community events, including reptile expos across Wisconsin and beyond. It cannot accept aquatic turtles, green iguanas, or Nile monitors, and directs people seeking help with wild animals to licensed wildlife rehabilitation centers.
