Badyal Farms

Badyal Farms Ltd. is a second-generation family farming business based in Abbotsford, British Columbia, with operations spanning 1,000 acres across the Fraser Valley. For more than 25 years, the farm has grown and supplied berries, fruits, and vegetables, including sweet corn, blueberries, English peas, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and bell peppers. Its location and soil allow some crops to be harvested about two weeks earlier than at other farms. Produce is hand-picked to reduce damage, then handled at a 20,000-square-foot packing house equipped with four large coolers. The farm ships produce across Canada, including approximately three million pieces of corn annually, and is HACCP and CanadaGAP certified.

Badyal Farms emphasizes quality, careful handling, and longer shelf life, alongside environmentally conscious growing practices. These include drip irrigation, which directs water to plant roots, and crop rotations developed with local potato-farming partners to support soil health and crop yields. The farm also works to reduce food waste by supplying lower-grade fruits and vegetables to a neighbouring dairy farm for cattle feed.
