Ballet Academy East (BAE) is a New York City dance school dedicated to comprehensive ballet education in a caring, nurturing environment. It serves students from early childhood through adulthood, helping them build skills, confidence, musicality, and a lasting appreciation of dance. Its programs include the Young Dancer Division for children ages 18 months to 6, the Primary Division for ages 6 to 7, and the Children + Teen Division for ages 7 to 14.
Aspiring dancers ages 7 to 19 can pursue advanced study in the Pre-Professional Division, while adults can take classes in the studio or virtually. BAE also offers sensory-friendly Adaptive Dance classes, seasonal camps and summer programs, performances, and birthday parties. For young students, classes emphasize coordination, focus, strength, flexibility, and joy in movement; non-professional training is available for children and teens who want to deepen their interest in ballet.
Based on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, the academy also provides studio rentals and invites community support through donations and its shop
