Bärenschule is a childcare and school support service for children, operated by opseo Servicegesellschaft mbH and part of the opseo Group. Its companions help children and young people with additional needs participate more equally in kindergarten and school, supporting not only access to lessons but also inclusion in the wider community. School companions, integration aides and participation assistants work alongside each child, adapting their support to individual needs and encouraging development without creating undue pressure.

Bärenschule serves children with a range of physical, cognitive and emotional needs, including developmental delays, ADHD, autism spectrum conditions, epilepsy and severe psychological difficulties. For children requiring intensive medical care, the organisation can help connect families with qualified nursing professionals through its own specialist services and links to Bärenfamilie care providers. The service also advises parents on applications, potential funding bodies and the Personal Budget option. Companions receive ongoing training through the opseo Group’s care academy.
