About BAGFW
BAGFW, short for Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft der Freien Wohlfahrtspflege e. V., is an association that brings together the leading organizations within the Free Welfare Services in Germany. Their common goal is to ensure and further develop social work through collaborative initiatives and social policy activities.
BAGFW works on various important aspects of social work, addressing the key challenges stemming from the societal reality in Germany. With a focus on human-centric services, BAGFW is committed to supporting and empowering individuals. They provide migration counseling for adult migrants, ensuring their smooth integration into society.
Additionally, BAGFW administers the Hans im Glück welfare stamps program, which has been supporting Free Welfare Services since 1949. By purchasing these stamps, individuals contribute to the support and betterment of social initiatives. BAGFW also advocates for the rights and well-being of individuals with disabilities.
They have recently submitted a parallel report to the UN on the implementation of disability rights in Germany. Furthermore, BAGFW actively participates in social and welfare-related events and publications, collaborating with their member organizations to drive positive change in society
