Bahn für Alle

Bahn für Alle is a progressive alliance advocating for a publicly owned railway system in Germany that prioritizes the common good and environmental sustainability. The organization seeks to replace environmentally harmful transport modes, such as road and air traffic, with a robust rail network. They emphasize the importance of accessible and affordable train travel, campaigning against the compulsion of digital services in ticketing to ensure that all customers can choose between digital and paper options without facing additional costs.

Bahn für Alle is deeply involved in various initiatives, including the promotion of night trains for eco-friendly travel across Europe and the call for the establishment of the United Railways of Europe. They regularly publish alternative reports critiquing Deutsche Bahn’s operations and push for a democratically controlled railway system. Their aims also include advocating for the municipalization of services, such as the Berlin S-Bahn, to improve reliability and lower costs for passengers. The organization encourages public engagement through petitions and donations, striving to make train travel a viable and sustainable option for everyone.
