BC Bahosa, or Badminton Club Hoogezand-Sappemeer, is a welcoming sports club in Hoogezand offering three accessible racket sports: badminton, pickleball and dynamic tennis. Its activities are open to people of all ages and skill levels, whether they want to compete, stay active or simply enjoy playing with others. The club emphasizes a friendly atmosphere, support for newcomers and opportunities to play with and against fellow members. People with disabilities are also welcome to participate.
Badminton combines speed, strategy, reflexes and precision, with options for both recreational and more committed players. Pickleball is a social sport blending elements of tennis, table tennis and badminton, played by hitting a plastic ball over a net. Dynamic tennis uses soft balls and shortened tennis rackets, offering an approachable, lower-impact way to build coordination, speed and stamina.
Bahosa provides free introductory trial sessions and guidance for new members. The club plays at Sporthal de Kalkwijck, Nieuweweg 8, in Hoogezand. Trial lesson packages are also promoted for badminton and dynamic tennis.
