BAI Institute

BAI Institute, or Building Architecture Institute, is a reference centre for industrialisation, robotics and innovation in construction and architecture. Based in Pamplona, it focuses on researching innovative technological systems for architecture and engineering, while helping prepare architects, engineers and other construction professionals to apply new design and production methods. The institute’s work spans collective housing, public buildings, building rehabilitation and restoration, urban spaces, furniture and equipment.

BAI offers postgraduate education and professional training through its BAI programme, vocational training, seminars and courses, alongside digital learning resources. Its activities also include consultancy for businesses, supporting connections between research, industry and practical construction needs. Workshops, technical talks, site visits and public forums provide opportunities to explore subjects such as computational design, digital fabrication, robotics, artificial intelligence and sustainability in architecture. BAI shares updates and perspectives through its news, publications and coverage of projects and events. The institute is supported by the Government of Navarre, Spain’s housing and urban agenda ministry, the Ministry of Industry and Tourism, and other institutions.
