BaJaVa ry is a Finnish breed association for people interested in Balinese, Siamese, Oriental Longhair and Oriental Shorthair cats. Founded in 1991, the association brings together cat owners, breeders and enthusiasts, and is a partner of the Finnish Cat Association. Its work focuses on sharing reliable information about the four breeds, supporting responsible breeding, and creating opportunities for members and other enthusiasts to meet and exchange knowledge.
The association’s website introduces each breed, including its appearance, colours and characteristics, and provides a colour gallery. Prospective owners can explore frequently asked questions and the Pentupesä kitten service, which shares information about kittens seeking homes and allows breeders to list litters. Resources for breeders include breeder and stud cat listings, guidance on good breeding practices, information on breeding and health testing, and breeding objectives.
BaJaVa also publishes news and a member magazine, offers a shop, and shares details about its activities, representatives and membership.
