About Bakala Foundation
Bakala Foundation is a family foundation founded by Michaela and Zdenek Bakala in 2007. Our main goal is to support young talents on their journey towards quality education, not only helping them achieve their dreams but also improving society as a whole. Through our own programs and in collaboration with independent partners both in the Czech Republic and abroad, we also support topics such as freedom, democracy, human rights, and independent and professional journalism.
Our programs include scholarships for high school and university students, the Journey: Journalism Bootcamp, the Achillova Data course on investigative journalism and mentoring, the Kaplicky Internship architectural competition for prestigious internships, and the Student Hub, a modern co-studying space in Prague.
