About Bake It Forward
Bake It Forward is an Indigenous-owned, family-run social enterprise based in Duncan, British Columbia, serving communities across Vancouver Island. Founded by partners Daphne and Alex, the organization combines a bakery, street-level outreach, and recovery resources, drawing on their lived experience of addiction and recovery. Every bakery order helps fund practical support for people experiencing homelessness or seeking treatment.
The bakery offers custom birthday and wedding cakes, sobriety milestone cakes, cupcakes, dietary desserts, and business trays, with pickup and delivery in areas including Duncan, Nanaimo, and the Cowichan Valley. Its outreach team provides hot meals, rides to treatment, and help accessing care. Bake It Forward also offers sober companionship across Canada and support for families seeking treatment options.
Its recovery tools include Cedar Path, a paid, self-guided recovery and aftercare program; Recovery Blueprint, a free CBT- and DBT-aligned skills resource; and Sage Recovery Cloud, an operations platform for eligible organizations, available by inquiry. Together, these services connect each purchase with community care and recovery support.
