BakSpekteret

BakSpekteret is an independent practice founded by Julie Ruud-Lund, offering guidance and talks on autism and neurodivergence. Julie is a qualified educator with a master’s degree in educational and psychological counselling, interdisciplinary neurodevelopmental training from RBUP, and ten years of experience supporting autistic children and young people in specialist education as a teacher, adviser and department head.

The practice helps individuals, family members and professionals better understand needs, experiences and behaviour, and identify practical ways to create supportive environments. Individual guidance is tailored to each situation and is available digitally, with possible in-person sessions or home visits in Oslo and surrounding areas. No diagnosis or referral is required. Sessions include an introductory 45-minute consultation and follow-up guidance.

BakSpekteret also provides talks adapted for schools, kindergartens, parent groups, organisations and professional communities. Topics include autism and neurodivergence, stress and regulation, safety and relationships, sensory needs, masking, accommodations, and understanding behaviour. Its approach is neurodiversity-affirming, drawing on research and professional experience to promote understanding, safety and wellbeing rather than trying to make people appear less autistic.
