Balance farming

Balance Farming is a Belgian animal-focused business founded by Els Coenen and Joni De Vos, whose shared passion for horses, animal welfare and sustainability inspired the venture. Based in Buggenhout, Balance aims to create a harmonious environment for people, animals and nature, offering an alternative to intensive livestock farming.

The business raises Wagyu cattle, which customers can explore and order through its webshop. Its approach emphasizes quality alongside reduced environmental impact, with attention to animal health, calm and safe accommodation, freedom of movement and low-stress handling. Animals are given time to develop naturally and are prepared for sale with care.

Balance Farming also runs a dressage horse breeding program focused on strong maternal lines and horses with kind temperaments. Customers can browse horses for sale in search of a riding partner and companion. The business’s website also features information about horse education and training, as well as its mission and vision.
