Balboa Tennis

Balboa Tennis Club is a nonprofit public tennis facility in the northeastern corner of San Diego’s historic Balboa Park. Welcoming players of all ages and skill levels, the club offers 25 well-maintained, lighted hard courts, with court reservations available to members and drop-in play subject to availability. Membership includes the ability to reserve courts in advance, access to the clubhouse and locker rooms, and opportunities to join club teams and leagues. Membership is currently available through a wait list.

Players can develop their skills through private lessons, camps, and junior and adult clinics led by professional instructors. The club also provides social and competitive play, including USTA leagues, and hosts tournaments throughout the year, such as the USTA National Open Hard Court Championships and the Balboa Open. Additional amenities include a pro shop selling racquets, bags, clothing, and accessories, with same-day stringing services, plus restrooms, showers, and lockers. Route 6 Café serves food and drinks, including coffee and smoothies.
