Ballarat Support Services (BSS) is a family-run, locally based NDIS registered provider serving Ballarat and surrounding areas. The organisation specialises in supporting people with complex needs, including behaviours of concern, high medical support needs, complex medication regimes and active behaviour support plans. BSS offers high-intensity and complex supports, one-to-one community access, group programs, transport, Short-Term Accommodation and support with daily living and capacity building. Services can help participants build skills in areas such as cooking, budgeting, personal care, travel and community participation. The purpose-built La Trobe Street hub includes spaces for day programs and group activities, including a kitchen, art studio, cinema room and sensory areas. BSS also provides in-home and community support across the region. Group activities, short stays and holiday trips are described as fully NDIS-funded, with no out-of-pocket costs for families. The organisation reports having 33 staff and offering support seven days a week.
