BALLIN

Ballin Stiftung e.V. is a nonprofit provider supporting children and young people in Hamburg through inclusive, holistic education. Under its “Ballin an Bord” approach, the foundation operates services across childcare centres, schools and coastal locations, creating opportunities for children to learn, grow and explore the world in their own way.

Its offerings include Ballin Kitas and parent-child centres, all-day programmes at schools, and Ballin Meerzeit, which provides supportive experiences for children and young people on the North and Baltic Seas. The foundation’s educational work is centred on each child’s individual interests and needs, with close exchange between children, families and pedagogical professionals. It also values diversity, movement and healthy development.

Food is another part of its care: meals at its childcare centres and Meerzeit locations are freshly prepared in the foundation’s own kitchens, with an emphasis on balanced, child-friendly dishes. Ballin’s services bring together education, wellbeing and enriching encounters, helping young people thrive in varied settings both in Hamburg and by the sea.
