Ballsandboots

Balls and Boots is a registered charitable organisation operating across Scotland, established in 2020 to help children living in poverty take part in sport, particularly football. Based in North Lanarkshire, the charity works to remove practical barriers to participation by providing children and small community groups with footballs, boots, clothing and other equipment. It also arranges coaching support and helps create opportunities for children to enjoy sport with others.

The organisation supports children from a wide range of backgrounds, including those who are isolated or disadvantaged, refugees and asylum seekers, children affected by racial inequality, children with disabilities, and young people from the LGBT+ community. Its work extends to schools, youth groups and local community activities, with support available throughout Scotland. Balls and Boots also helps young people aged 16 to 21 who are interested in coaching careers, including assistance with course funding and work experience placements. In partnership with North Lanarkshire Titans CIC, the charity is also moving into basketball, broadening its efforts to support children’s physical and mental well-being through sport.
