Ballycapall Thoroughbred Spellers and Pre-Trainers

Ballycapall is a horse-care and training facility on a private 140-acre farm near Beaudesert, Queensland. Owned by Chris and Cathy Munce and partnered with Munce Racing at the Eagle Farm stables, it offers services for horses at different stages of their racing journey. Its newly licensed training centre provides pre-training to help prepare horses for the demands of the racetrack, alongside spelling and agistment where horses can recuperate with attentive care. Ballycapall also offers preparation for sale, including presentation services for yearlings.

The farm’s facilities are designed to support both training and relaxation. A dedicated team provides care around the clock, with custom feed mixes and close attention to equine health and nutrition. The Munce family brings hands-on experience in horse training and care, combining traditional knowledge with modern techniques. Ballycapall also emphasises clear communication, keeping owners informed about their horses’ care and progress. Individual owners and syndicates can arrange visits, discuss their horse’s needs and take part in exclusive owner days at the farm.
