Balschun Ranch is a western riding and horse-activity business based in Emsdetten, in Germany’s Münsterland region. Led by Christina Balschun and a team of trainers and horse professionals, the ranch offers riding instruction, practical courses, events and outings for people who want to develop their skills or enjoy time with horses. Training topics include trail riding, ranch riding, groundwork, horse handling, loading and confidence training, pole work, rider position, gymnastics, and western competition disciplines.
Sessions may be tailored to participants’ interests and experience, and courses welcome different horse breeds, riding styles and ability levels. In July 2026, a compact course is planned covering Western riding certificates 4 and 3 and the Pferdeführerschein Umgang. Visitors are asked to call ahead so the team can ensure someone is available
