Baltimore Midatlantic Fencing Academy

Homewood Fencing Club brings recreational and competitive fencing opportunities to the Baltimore community, welcoming beginners and experienced fencers alike. Its adult program focuses on epee, with open bouting sessions held Tuesday and Friday evenings at the Johns Hopkins University Homewood campus. Fencers aged 14 and older are invited, including students from nearby colleges and members of other clubs.

Newcomers can learn the fundamentals, and loaner equipment may be available to help them get started. The club also offers youth instruction: Coach Austin Young leads foil programs for children aged eight and up, including beginner classes, and private lessons can be arranged with the coach. The club describes its environment as friendly and inclusive, encouraging members to learn, compete, stay active, and enjoy fencing together.

Participation requires USA Fencing membership for insurance purposes. The published adult fee is $150 per ten-week session, with possible discounts for college students. Homewood Fencing Club is associated with the Epee Nomads, a group that also takes part in local fencing events and tournaments
